JUNE 2008: An update on progress this side of the pond and a few other things to think about...
And here's the long awaited update from the past two months - what can I say things have been manic!!! So much has been happening, all exciting and life changing stuff... and I'm not exagerating, well not that much anyway!
I'm currently in Chicago at the moment trying to finalise everything for my new start in New York at drama school. There's tons of paper work involved, but my mum, grandad and boyfrind have been amazing and extremely supportive. Without them I would be very lost. I'm good at acting, but not at the important filling out of documents kinda stuff!
However, raising the money to go to school hasn't been easy. It's taken much perseverance and positive thinking but we are finally starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel thanks to two particular charities that have decided to sponsor me. I would like to thank both the Vegetarian Society and The Kidderminster Trust for their support. It is very much appreciated and will be used towards a great investment. After receiving many rejection letters throughout my search for sponsors it can be very disheartening at times. However, when you finally receive some positive feedback it’s the best feeling in the world! What I'm trying to say that is as corny as it sounds:
Never give up... if you want something bad enough-it will come to you.
So now after that long intro what you really wanna know is what have I been up to? Well, I spent a week in Germany working for XJTAG and thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition. Gutan tag by the way!! I picked up a bit of the language and saw some incredible sites as we toured the town of Nurenburg. I completed my final exhibition for the company last week in London and was very sad to say goodbye. Over the past 3 years working for them, I have become very good friends with all of the team and am proud to admit I enjoy my work for them. I've been exceptionally lucky to have done so much traveling around the world because of the company, and I would like to say a big THANKYOU!!
I have also started drama classes in London to brush up on some of my techniques. So two classes a week and tons of scripts to learn is keeping me very busy. Alongside that I have been working at fameTv - channel 187...as per usual talking about all the random things inside Luce's world...
And as for the future weeks ahead of me before the move I will be working non stop trying to save as much as possible!! I'll keep you posted.
In the meantime a few things you need to do...
- Watch Mama Mia - the new film with Richard Gere and Meryl Streep. My best friend Michelle Trimboli is a dancer in the movie and she invited me to the screening. Fabulous!!!
- Try the new Cadburys twirl bar. Heaven!!!
- Follow your dreams. Gotta leave you with some pure cheese!!!
